Don Salazar

Don Salazar is the founder and CEO of Creative Times, Inc. a specialty design-build construction company based in Utah. For over 30 years, CTI has successfully completed a wide array of construction projects ranging from several hundreds to tens of millions of dollars, for a variety of clients in the private and public sector. During his tenure, Mr. Salazar has controlled the marketing, contract negotiation, planning, accounting, bonding, financing and on-site job performance of a majority of the company's projects. CTI counts among its clients a variety of entities including, the Army Corp of Engineers, U.S. Department of Defense, United States Air Force, Department of the Navy, U.S. National Guard, the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Coast Guard.
Mr. Salazar served as the Chairman of the Board at the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Ogden Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Advisory Board for Zions Bank, Utah’s oldest banking institution.
Also, Mr. Salazar is a former President of the Northern Utah Public Employees’ Association. Additionally, he was appointed by Governor, Gary Herbert, to serve on the Utah State Council on Workforce Services. Mr. Salazar was named Utah Minority Small Businessman of the Year. He has also earned the United States Small Business Administration’s Contractor of the Year Award. He currently serves on the Weber State University Board of Trustees as a member of their Executive Committee as well as Chairman of their Business Committee.
Mr. Salazar and his wife Janet enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren as well as traveling internationally, golfing, fishing and hunting.
