United States Hispanic Business Council Appoints Greg Lamantia to Board of Directors

Washington DC - The United States Hispanic Business Council (USHBC) announced today the appointment of Greg Lamantia of L&F Distributors, to its Board of Directors. The LaMantia family has owned and operated L&F Distributors, a Budweiser wholesaler, since 1977. Today, L&F employs over 1,100 Americans, serving 53 counties in Texas and New Mexico. L&F serves a territory encompassing over 109,000 square miles, which is an area larger than the states of Vermont, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Delaware, and Maryland combined. Also, L&F consolidated market share is approximately 70%, in the markets they serve, making them one of the best performing Budweiser distributors in North America.

Said USHBC Chairman Don Salazar, “Beyond their obvious business success the Lamantias have a history of  giving back to the communities they serve. Many don’t know, but Greg and his family established South Texas Academic Rising Students (STARS), a non-profit organization that awards academic scholarships to students in Texas. To date, STARS has disbursed over $35 million to over 17,000 deserving students.  It’s this kind of visionary leadership coupled with an unparalleled commercial success that made Greg Lamantia a perfect fit for our board of job creators and business builders."

"It is an honor to serve on the USHBC Board of Directors. America's Hispanic business community needs an organization that is willing to stand up on important issues, not be afraid to call out inequities, and be an advocate for the millions of entrepreneurs that are driving economic activity and job growth in this country. I believe we have found that voice in the USHBC and I am proud to stand alongside them and be a partner on their vital work." said Lamantia.
