United States Hispanic Business Council Applauds SCOTUS Ruling on Biden Vaccine Mandate
Washington DC - In response to today’s Supreme Court ruling blocking the Biden administration’s enforcement of a vaccine-or-testing mandate for large employers, Javier Palomarez - President and CEO of the U.S. Hispanic Business Council (USHBC) - released the following statement:
"Today's Supreme Court ruling is a victory for the Hispanic business community. As an association of privately-owned businesses, we believe that all American businesses should have the right to set their own vaccination policies without being subject to government mandates. While the Biden administration has made great strides to help the Hispanic business community, this mandate was simply a bridge too far. Successful business owners have the knowledge and ability to make these decisions on their own. Vaccinations are highly encouraged by all our business owners, who lead by example in that they and their families are overwhelmingly vaccinated. We encourage everyone who can get vaccinated to do so without letting the government dictate individual policies for private companies. We believe the best path forward should include encouraging vaccination, regular testing, and taking mitigating steps to curb the spread of COVID. Entrepreneurship and innovation will get us out of this pandemic, not mandates."
